Abstract
"Aboriginal communities while working to heal their families, need a facility where children can be cared for in close proximity to their parents. A community sanctioned group home is a viable alternative to aboriginal children being sent out of the community when children or parents have special needs, or when a foster home in the community is unavailable." (Shore & Nicholls, 1975)
