Abstract
"The primary focus of this thesis is a description of the social organization on the Nikaneet reserve of southern Saskatchewan in its social, economic and ecological context. The purpose of the research is to point out and explain such distinguishing features as: band, sharing, forms of exchange, and division of labour. Making these distinctions contributes to an understanding of Nikaneet which goes beyond the Canadian context and into a world wide view of band society."--Introduction.
