Abstract

"The Biography of Inuit Artists is an ongoing project which, since it was first published in 1981, has been revised twice with supplements, in 1982 and 1984. Over 300 biographies have been added since the 1984 edition, bringing the total number of artist biographies available in 1987 to approximately 1100. The third edition is an integration of new research with the old. The 1981, 1982 and 1984 biographies have been upgraded to the standards of the 1987 edition."--Introduction.
