Abstract
"The Ghostway is a mystery which could only be solved by Navajo Tribal Policeman Jim Chee. No one else would have recognized the strange clues: Indian burial rituals ignored and a hogan abandoned to a ghost. Warned by the FBI to keep off the case, Chee nonetheless follows his leads all the way to the forbidden underside of Los Angeles. There he searches for the Navajo medicine man who has left his home with a corpse lying outside it, for the Indian's missing granddaughter, and for the rest of the puzzle whose solution may mean death for them all.
