Abstract

"Eureka! is a unique anthology. The seven one-act plays included result from individual, collective, and collaborative visions. All the plays were written by Saskatchewan playwrights or student collectives and were selected for their suitability to secondary schools.

The plays range from the traditional narrative to impressionistic dream sequences to an ironic and humourous courtroom trial. Themes such as Aboriginal land rights, alcoholism, date rape, teenage pregnancy, and the rights of individuals are explored, sometimes with hilarity, sometimes with poignancy.

All plays texts are accompanied by an author's statement about the work, an author biography, premier production information, character lists, and set descriptions."--Back cover.
