Abstract
"The Indians of North America have given us a legacy of beautiful craftwork and interesting games. In this book a well-known interpreter of Indian life presents detailed instructions on how to make simple game equipment for twelve different games and how to play them just as the Indians did. Each step in the making of the equipment is carefully illustrated and described, and the necessary materials — all readily available — are listed. Some of these things are easy to make — the Zuni kick stick, for example. Others, such as the Hopi Kachina doll, require more time and skill. All the games are fun to play and most of them will be entirely new to many boys and girls. Each reader will find something to his own taste in this selection and will enjoy following the clear and easy diagrams and text."--Book jacket.
