"During the summer of 1973, Opportunities for Youth funded six university students to do a study of six Metis communities. With the co-operation of the Manitoba Metis Federation, who assigned its director of Communications, John Burelle, to assist the students, the study began. The South East Regional office of the Federation supplied the office space. With this assistance the students began the work. The results of the summer program is this book."--WorldCat.org.
